From 1995 to 2006, and then again from 2012 to 2015, Joey served his community as an elected Councilman in Flemington, NJ. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law, and is licensed to practice in New Jersey. Joey was trained in 2004 by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and successfully completed their expertly taught Advanced Mediation Techniques course. He is an honors graduate of the prestigious Leadership New Jersey Fellowship Program. He’s taught hundreds of lawyers, law students, judges and elected officials from around the country the benefits of legal skills derived of improvisation. Keynote Speaker, Trainer, Workshop Director Joey Novick has been the Director of Corporate Training for ComedyWorks and Improv for Leaders since 1995. He has been a member of the board of trustees of the ACLU of New Jersey since 2009. He serves as the general counsel for the international organization, the Applied Improvisation Network.
