Jesse Wilson is a communication specialist, best-selling author, and nationally recognized jury trial consultant and trial strategist with a unique background that blends theater and law. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Jesse founded Tell the Winning Story, a “breakthrough communication” program that empowers trial lawyers to deliver high-impact presentations and transform their communication and collaboration skills. His work focuses on preparing clients and witnesses to testify with authenticity and confidence, using strategic storytelling techniques tailored for the courtroom.
Jesse’s inspiration for Tell the Winning Story came from his experience co-developing a theater-behind-bars program for inmates in Colorado prisons, where he witnessed the transformative power of storytelling in helping individuals reclaim their life narratives.
Jesse’s hands-on training is featured in his seminars, law-firm retreats, intensives, small-group workshops, and webinars, all designed to equip legal professionals with the tools to connect more deeply with their jurors.
Jesse is the author of the best-selling book, Witness Preparation: How To Tell The Winning Story, published by Trial Guides, which serves as a go-to resource for lawyers aiming to master the art of witness preparation through compelling storytelling and authentic communication.
In addition to his work with trial lawyers, Jesse created Lessons From The Stage, an accessible and engaging model initially developed for at-risk teenagers in correctional facilities. This program empowers therapists, counselors, and their clients by incorporating expressive therapy techniques through the healing arts of theater. Participants explore the structural and psychological properties of expressive art to help clients embody and share their “greater stories.”
Jesse lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Branda, and their two children, Autumn and Nicholas.
